Weekly Update September 16, 2022
September 16, 2022
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
We are closing in on the end of Summer, and the first day of Fall is next Thursday September 22nd! This also means nominations for our “Employees of the Quarter” will be closing September 30th! I invite you to share your recognition of staff members and those good deeds, tangible acts of kindness, extraordinary care, and love shown by our staff.
Nominations for our “Employees of the Quarter“ are always welcome, and the “Solheim Feeling” nomination card can also be found at nursing stations or at our front desk, or you can fill one out online at www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition. Your kind words help our staff to better appreciate just how their everyday acts of kindness and compassion help to foster an environment of “Abundant Living” for all of our residents!
We will have our COVID-19 Booster Clinic on Thursday, September 29th between 11am and 2pm in the Health Center large activity room. Residents that are interested in receiving this booster should let your nurse know. More information will be provided regarding the time and location of this clinic.
Another reminder: Entrance tickets are still available for the Eagle Rock Oktoberfest, which will be hosted right here at Solheim on Saturday, September 24th from 5pm -9pm and is open to our extended community. Visit www.solheimsenior.org/oktoberfest for more information or download the flyer HERE. This is a true German feast – complete with authentic German Beer and live music provided by the band “Bavarian Stew.” Tickets for food and drink are available at the door. Contact Tina Antypas at tantypas@solheimsenior.org for more information.
Finally, don’t forget that on October 22, we’ll be hosting our 2nd Annual Solheim Soiree-Paint-n-Sip Event. This was a huge success (and a ton of fun) last year! Visit www.solheimsenior.org/paint-n-sip to become a sponsor, or to purchase your tickets! You don’t have to be an artist to participate!
Our visitation guidelines remain the same as last week (please be aware that we stop offering rapid tests at 4:30pm). If you come to visit after that time, we ask that you provide your own proof of a negative Covid-19 test result from within the past 48 hours. Our current visitation guidelines are:
All visitors in our Residential, Assisted and Memory Care levels of living on campus may visit indoors if the visitor is fully vaccinated OR provides proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours.
All visitors in our Health Center (SNF), including essential visitors who were previously exempt from all visitor testing requirements, must provide one of the following prior to entering the facility for all indoor and in-room visits, REGARDLESS of vaccination status: a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours.
Testing is not required for OUTDOOR visitation.
Visitors must always wear a facemask during the visitation and physically distance themselves from facility staff and other residents and visitors that are not part of their group at all times during the visit.
I am pleased to say that a as of today we have no new residents or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.
