Weekly Update September 9, 2022
September 9, 2022
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
I am pleased to introduce Solheim’s newest Leadership Team member, Monique Montalvo, who joins our team this coming Monday the 12th as our new Director of Resident Health and Wellness. Monique has been in our industry for 9 years, working her way from a Referral and Patient Care Coordinator up to a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and she is currently studying for her Registered Nurse Degree. Please join me in welcoming Monique to the team! I’d also like to thank Anna Lee, who has been serving as our Interim Director for the past several months.
As we continue to welcome new residents into our Solheim family, I’d like to remind you that YOU are one of our best marketers! Solheim receives more than 80% of new residents due to a referral from a friend or family member! This is a reminder that our “Refer-a-Friend” program is still underway! Any resident who refers a friend to Solheim will receive an incentive when that referral moves into our community and becomes part of the “Solheim Family.” And in fact, it’s even better than that: Both the current resident and the referred resident will also receive a $1,000 credit on their fourth month’s rent. Please contact Mamie Cornett in our Sales and Marketing Department for more information.
Another reminder: Entrance tickets are still available for the Eagle Rock Oktoberfest, which will be hosted right here at Solheim on Saturday, September 24th from 5pm -9pm. Visit www.solheimsenior.org/oktoberfest for more information or download the flyer HERE. This is a true German feast – complete with authentic German Beer and live music provided by the band “Bavarian Stew.” Tickets for food and drink are available at the door. Contact Tina Antypas at tantypas@solheimsenior.org for more information.
Finally, don’t forget that on October 22, we’ll be hosting our 2nd Annual Solheim Soiree-Paint-n-Sip Event. This was a huge success (and a ton of fun) last year! Visit www.solheimsenior.org/paint-n-sip to become a sponsor, or to purchase your tickets! You don’t have to be an artist to participate!
Our visitation guidelines remain the same as last week (please be aware that we stop offering rapid tests at 4:30pm). If you come to visit after that time, we ask that you provide your own proof of a negative Covid-19 test result from within the past 48 hours. Our current visitation guidelines are:
All visitors in our Residential, Assisted and Memory Care levels of living on campus may visit indoors if the visitor is fully vaccinated OR provides proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours.
All visitors in our Health Center (SNF), including essential visitors who were previously exempt from all visitor testing requirements, must provide one of the following prior to entering the facility for all indoor and in-room visits, REGARDLESS of vaccination status: a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours.
Testing is not required for OUTDOOR visitation.
Visitors must always wear a facemask during the visitation and physically distance themselves from facility staff and other residents and visitors that are not part of their group at all times during the visit.
I am pleased to say that a as of today we have no new residents or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.
