Weekly Update July 8, 2022
July 8, 2022
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
I am pleased to announce our new (Chief Financial Officer) CFO Nathan Kim will be joining our Solheim team this coming Monday! Nathan joins Solheim with over 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting fields as he started his career as a senior accountant with a large accounting firm. We look forward to introducing Nathan to you. Please be sure to say hello when you see him on campus next week!
Our Dining Director Gabrielle Guzman has hit the ground running and appreciates the input she’s received from you! Please be sure to join our Food Committee meetings, or feel free to share your feedback on one of the comment cards that can be found in the dining room. Your dining experience is important to us and we welcome your feedback. Speaking of dining, our guidelines from the Department of Health have changed to allow communal dining and activities indoors as of July 5th!
Our resident mailboxes in our Residential and Assisted Living campus are still in progress of getting a much-needed refresh. Although the construction will cause a little inconvenience, we are looking forward to unveiling a fresh new look soon. In the meantime, residents may pick up their mail at the front desk anytime after 2:30pm.
Our visitation guidelines remain the same as last week (please be aware that we stop offering rapid tests at 4:30pm). If you come to visit after that time, we ask that you provide your own proof of a negative Covid-19 test result from within the past 48 hours. I sincerely thank you for your patience, as our guidelines will likely continue to evolve considering changing regulatory guidance. Our current visitation guidelines are:
All visitors in our Residential, Assisted and Memory Care levels of living on campus may visit indoors if the visitor is fully vaccinated OR provides proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours.
All visitors in our Health Center (SNF), including essential visitors who were previously exempt from all visitor testing requirements, must provide one of the following prior to entering the facility for all indoor and in-room visits, REGARDLESS of vaccination status: a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours.
Testing is not required for OUTDOOR visitation.
Visitors must always wear a facemask during the visitation and physically distance themselves from facility staff and other residents and visitors that are not part of their group at all times during the visit.
Alternative communication such as phone calls, video calls, and online communication is always available.
As of today’s writing, we have no new residents or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.
