Weekly Update February 20, 2026
February 20, 2026
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
Have you visited our new hydration station in the front lobby? With hot coffee and tea available, it has been especially appreciated during these recent rainy days. Residents, families, and visitors alike have enjoyed a warm cup while stopping in to connect. It’s a small touch that reflects the warmth and welcome of the Solheim Feeling.
This week we celebrated the Lunar New Year with a festive tea party and embraced Mardi Gras with a lively band that brought wonderful energy to our campus. It’s always a joy to gather, learn, and celebrate together.
Next week, you’ll have the opportunity to ask Spencer Wells any questions you may have about technology — a great chance to build confidence with your devices and stay connected. We encourage you to check the community calendar for details on this session and all the other wonderful programs and opportunities coming up.
We’re also excited to welcome Amber Reynolds, our new Director of Residential Health & Wellness. Many of you have already met her, and we’re grateful for how quickly she has jumped in to support residents and staff. Family members of residents in the Halvorson Memory Care neighborhood are invited to an upcoming Meet and Greet on Thursday February 26th at 5:30pm in our Navigage Room, where we’ll share updates, encourage open dialogue, and formally introduce Amber as we continue strengthening partnership and transparency.
For our Health Center residents, we are pleased to host our February Candlelight Dinner on Thursday, 2/26 at 5:00 p.m. in the Skilled Nursing Dining Room. Health Center residents may invite one guest ($25 per guest). Kindly RSVP by 2/24 to trollice@solheimsenior.org or contact the front desk.
Finally, a reminder that the deadline for our Resident Satisfaction Survey is approaching. If you have not yet completed it, we value your feedback and encourage you to share your thoughts.
All staff working on our Skilled Nursing Campus are required to wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to the Health Center are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test prior to entry.
