Weekly Update December 19, 2025
December 19, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
As Christmas and the holiday season are upon us, this week’s message will also serve as our message for next week, as many of us prepare to celebrate and spend time with loved ones.
As we celebrate the birth of Christ and the hope, love, and light that Christmas brings, we are reminded of God’s presence among us and the gift of grace we share. This is a season of reflection, generosity, and renewed faith.
We are especially grateful this week for everyone who helped put on such a fabulous holiday buffet yesterday in our Residential Dining Room. Thank you to all who contributed to making it such a special occasion. It was truly lovely to see our family members join us and to experience the joy, fellowship, and sense of community that make Solheim so special.
We also invite you to join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 3:30pm in our Chapel. All are welcome—residents, family members, and friends—as we gather for scripture, song, prayer, and the gentle light of the season.
We also recognize that members of our community may be celebrating other holidays during this season, such as Hanukkah, or observing this time in different ways. Whatever you celebrate, we pray that your holiday brings exactly what it is meant to bring—peace, joy, comfort, hope, and a deep sense of love.
Thank you for being part of the Solheim community. You are a blessing to us, and we are grateful to walk this season together.
Christmas blessings and warm holiday wishes to you and your loved ones.
