Weekly Update October 10, 2025
October 10, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
We truly appreciate your patience as we continue our Merton and Manor Refresh Project. Many of you have been eager to see what’s happening behind the temporary wall, and now you finally have a glimpse! As we near the completion of the first phase, we’re preparing to move into the next stage—refreshing our Reception Area.
For the next few days, our main entrance will be temporarily relocated to the Health Center entrance while we make this transition. Please follow the posted signs as we work to keep the project on schedule and, most importantly, ensure the safety of our residents. Be sure to read our resident memos for the most up-to-date information. The Reception Area Refresh is expected to take approximately four weeks, beginning this coming week. During this time, a temporary front desk will be available in our newly expanded lobby. As before, on days when demolition is scheduled, we will offer outdoor activities and off-site outings to maintain comfort and enjoyment for everyone.
We remain committed to providing a safe and respectful environment throughout this process. While we do not anticipate any major disruptions, construction projects can bring unexpected changes. Should anything arise, we will communicate updates promptly through signage and staff reminders. Your patience, flexibility, and continued support are deeply appreciated as we invest in the long-term beauty and functionality of our community.
As a reminder, our enhanced Resident Referral Program continues to offer a wonderful opportunity to share the Solheim experience. When you refer a friend who moves in and stays for 90 days, you’ll receive a $2,500 credit, and your friend will enjoy $2,500 off their fourth month’s rent. Refer two or more friends, and you’ll be treated to a special experience, such as an elegant fine dining evening or a memorable concert outing. As you think about those who might benefit from the warmth, care, and vibrancy of life at Solheim, we encourage you to share this opportunity—it could truly make a difference.
As we enter this season of gratitude, we also invite you to participate in the Employee Appreciation Fund, which will be distributed in December. Since tipping is not permitted, this fund provides the most meaningful way to express your gratitude for our dedicated staff. A suggested contribution of $300 per family helps us reach our goal, though every donation—large or small—is sincerely valued. Contributions can be made easily at www.solheimsenior.org/donate. Together, we can make this holiday season especially bright for those who give so much of themselves each day.
Finally, as we close the quarter, please take a moment to submit Employee Recognition Forms. Your nominations help us celebrate exceptional service and select our Third Quarter Employees of the Quarter. Forms can be submitted at www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition.
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
