Weekly Update October 3, 2025
October 3, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
I’d like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate Oktoberfest with us this past Saturday! We had a record turnout, and it was a joyous, fun-filled time all around. Your participation and enthusiasm made the event such a success, and we are deeply grateful. As the last notes of Oktoberfest fade, we find ourselves turning toward fall. The season has quietly arrived, with dew on the ground in the mornings and cooler air reminding us of the beauty of change.
Our October calendar is now available, and once again we’re delighted to offer a wide variety of opportunities to socialize, strengthen the body, and challenge the mind. From music and Happy Hours to special programs, there is always something engaging to enjoy. Next week we invite you to share your voice in our Dining Chat on Tuesday, October 7th at 10:00am, followed by our ever-popular Life Enrichment Chat with Ashley on Wednesday, October 8th at 10:00am. On Thursday, October 9th, we’ll gather for a special lunch to celebrate Residential Living Birthdays, and later that evening join together for Thursday Night Football at 5:15pm. Be sure to keep your calendars handy so you don’t miss a moment of the fun. Our Monthly Calendar, Weekly Informer, and Daily Sheets remain your best guides for staying up to date, and Channel 1390 continues to provide reminders and updates to keep you connected to community life.
We’re also excited to share enhancements to our Resident Referral Program. By referring a friend, you not only share the gift of community but also enjoy meaningful rewards. When your referral moves in and remains for 90 days, you receive a $2500 credit, and your friend receives $2500 off their fourth month’s rent. Refer two or more people, and you’ll be treated to a special experience such as an elegant fine dining evening or a memorable concert outing. As you reflect on friends or loved ones who might benefit from the warmth, care, and vibrancy of life at Solheim, we encourage you to share this opportunity—it could make all the difference.
As we enter this season of gratitude, we also invite you to take part in the Employee Appreciation Fund, which will be distributed in December. Since tipping is not permitted, this fund is the most meaningful way to express how much the dedication and care of our staff mean throughout the year. A suggested contribution of $300 per family helps us reach our goal, though every donation—large or small—is deeply valued. Contributions can be made easily at www.solheimsenior.org/donate. Together, we can make this holiday season especially bright for those who give so much of themselves each day.
As we close the quarter, please also take a moment to submit Employee Recognition Forms; your nominations help us select our Third Quarter Employees of the Quarter and ensure outstanding service is celebrated. Visit www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition .
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
