Weekly Update September 26, 2025
September 26, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
Our Oktoberfest celebration takes place tomorrow from 5 to 9 in the evening, and it promises an evening of music, food, and fellowship. This year, residents may join at no cost, though food and drink tickets will still need to be purchased at the door. Families and friends are invited, and sponsorship opportunities remain available at the Front Desk. For more details, including ticket information, visit www.solheimsenior.org/oktoberfest. For those who prefer a quieter evening, your regular meal will be served as always in the dining room. Please note that the Health Center parking lot will be closed this evening and will reopen Sunday morning—we appreciate your patience as we prepare for this favorite annual tradition. We know parking is precious, and we thank you for your patience.
As we round out September and move into October, there is much more to look forward to. Our Monthly Calendar, Weekly Informer, and Daily Sheets remain your best guide to a wide variety of activities for mind, body, and spirit. And don’t forget, Channel 1390 brings you the latest reminders and updates so you never miss a moment of community life.
We’re also excited to share that our Resident Referral Program has been enhanced. By referring a friend, you not only share the gift of community but also enjoy meaningful rewards. When your referral moves in and has been here for 90 days, you receive a $2500 credit, and your friend receives $2500 off their fourth month’s rent. Refer two or more people and you will be treated to a special experience such as a fine dining evening or a concert outing. As you think of friends or loved ones who might benefit from the warmth, care, and vibrancy of life at Solheim, we encourage you to share this opportunity with them—it could make all the difference.
As we enter the season of gratitude, we also invite you to take part in the Employee Appreciation Fund, which will be distributed in December. Since tipping is not permitted, this fund provides a meaningful way to show our staff how much their dedication and care mean throughout the year. A suggested contribution of $300 per family helps us reach our goal, though every donation—large or small—is deeply valued. Contributions can be made online at www.solheimsenior.org/donate. Together, we can make this holiday season especially bright for those who give so much of themselves each day.
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
