Weekly Update June 27, 2025
June 27, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
As we approach the 4th of July—a celebration of our nation’s freedom and resilience—we also embrace the warmth and vitality of summer here at Solheim. With temperatures on the rise, it’s more important than ever to stay well-hydrated. Hydration Stations are located throughout the campus to help you stay refreshed, and we encourage everyone to take full advantage of them. If your air conditioning isn’t functioning properly, please alert the nursing staff or front desk right away so we can ensure your comfort and safety.
In the spirit of renewal and forward momentum, we’re pleased to share that the Merton and Manor Main Dining Room Refresh is set to begin on Monday, July 7th. This project will follow the successful completion of the Merton Manor corridor renovation and includes new paint, carpeting, and LVP flooring to enhance both the comfort and visual appeal of our dining space.
To minimize disruption during construction—which is expected to last approximately seven days—a temporary dining plan has been put in place:
Breakfast will be served as a hot buffet in the Navigage Room, with a Grab-and-Go Station available in the Fountain Room for lighter fare.
Lunch will be served in both the Navigage Room and the Sensory Patio, with two seatings at 11:45 AM and 12:30 PM. Residents may choose their preferred dining location—no assigned seating will be in effect during this time.
Dinner will be served exclusively on the Sensory Patio.
Complimentary tray service will be available to anyone who prefers to dine in their home.
A detailed memo outlining these changes was distributed this past Monday. If you haven’t seen it yet, we encourage you to take a look to ensure a smooth transition during the refresh. We’re grateful for your patience and enthusiasm as we continue working to enhance life at Solheim.
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
