Weekly Update October 4, 2024
October 4, 2024
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
Our annual “Resident Satisfaction Survey” is just around the corner. Once again this year, we will be offering this survey digitally – but rest assured, we will be happy to assist you in any way that we can. These surveys will be available for our residents (or their Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare) next week. These surveys are an important tool for Solheim to get a sense of how it is doing in the eyes of our residents, and to help us identify any areas in which we can strive to improve next year. This formal survey will provide us with a good baseline for starting 2025 with a focus on continuing to improve our operations. I thank you in advance for your participation!
Fall brings a season of gratitude and reflection, and the opportunity to express appreciation for our dedicated staff through our Employee Appreciation . While tips are not allowed, you can make a monetary donation that will be equally distributed among all staff members during the winter holidays. Additionally, you are always welcome to share encouraging words by filling out a Solheim Feeling Employee Recognition nomination card, available at the front desk or nursing stations, or by visiting us online at www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition. These thoughtful messages truly brighten our staff's day! To make a monetary gift, please visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and select 'Employee Appreciation’.
In addition to the Employee Appreciation Fund, we also offer the Employee Education Assistance Fund, which provides vital support for our staff's continued learning and development. We've seen firsthand how these contributions have helped our team members grow. For instance, Spenser Wells, who has been instrumental in assisting residents with their technology needs, has advanced his skills thanks to the Education Assistance Fund!
Contact Tina Antypas for help with setting up a systematic gift or visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and choose the Employee Appreciation or Employee Education option. Your gifts help uplift and celebrate those who dedicate themselves to serving our community with such extraordinary devotion.
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
You can always visit our website for more information at http://www.solheimsenior.org, but if you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323-257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
