Update January 19, 2022
January 19, 2022
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
As of today’s writing, we have two (2) residents in our Residential and Assisted Living Campus who have tested positive for COVID-19. We will continue weekly testing of all residents and staff.
As of today’s writing, ALL VISITORS on our campus (Residential, Assisted Living, Halvorson Memory Care Neighborhood and our Health Center) must provide a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 48 Hours, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours, REGARDLESS of vaccination status and REGARDLESS of essential visitor status. In addition, proof of vaccination and booster shot, if eligible, is required for all INDOOR visits. Outdoor visitation is permitted for those that do not meet the vaccination requirement. Alternative communication such as phone calls, video calls, and online communication is available at all times.
Indoor visitors and visitors eligible for outdoor visitation must wear a facemask at all times during the visitation and physically distance themselves from facility staff and other residents and visitors that are not part of their group at all times during the visit.
As always, resident (and staff) health and safety remains our top priority, and we are continuing to monitor and follow all applicable CDC and California Department of Health guidelines. Especially during this period when the entire region is seeing a significant uptick in reported COVID-19 cases, to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19, if you are sick or not feeling well for any reason you should postpone your visit and not come to campus until you’re feeling well again.
We thank you for your continued partnership, diligence, and patience in continuing to follow these important guidelines. Safety is always our first priority here at Solheim!
