Weekly Update May 2, 2025
May 2, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
We are thrilled to recognize our Employees of the 1st Quarter 2025 for their dedication and kindness:
Valerie Lira Urbina in our Skilled Nursing Campus; Raven Maxile in Dining; Christina McDonald in Actiities; Ariel Sales in Facilities and Christine Hunt in our Residential Care Campus (Halvorson Memory Care and Residential/Assisted Living). Each of these 5 individuals have gone above and beyond, helping make Solheim a warm, loving, and joyful home. If you see these wonderful team members around campus, please take a moment to thank and congratulate them!
Looking ahead, we’re excited to celebrate Team Member Appreciation Week, a special time to recognize the extraordinary people who make Solheim feel like family. We invite you to join in the celebration by helping us sponsor each day of Team Member Appreciation Week, with a goal of raising $1,000 per day. Gifts can be made online or at the front desk, and any amount helps us reach that daily goal. For example, a gift of $250 will be combined with others to total $1,000 for that day.
As contributions come in, we’ll recognize sponsors by adding their names to our event flyer. Whether you give $250, $500, or $1,000, your generosity helps make this week of appreciation truly special. To give, CLICK HERE or stop by the front desk. Every gift, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
We’re kicking off the month of May with a festive celebration for Cinco de Mayo on Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 PM on the Skilled Nursing patio. Join us for live mariachi music, folklórico dancers, and a lively afternoon filled with culture, music, and joy. You’ll find the full schedule of events in our monthly calendar, on your Weekly Informer, and on Solheim’s In-House Channel 1390. Don’t miss out on all the fun and meaningful activities happening throughout the month.
As the Merton Manor Refresh nears completion, our next focus will be upgrading the dining room carpet. We’ll keep you informed as details develop, and will do our best to minimize disruption. Weather permitting, we’ll continue offering opportunities to enjoy meals together in cheerful and comfortable settings.
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
