Weekly Update April 18, 2025
April 18, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
As we approach Easter, a season that symbolizes renewal, joy, and hope, we reflect with gratitude on the many blessings that surround us. At Solheim, we are fortunate to witness these blessings daily—in the care shared between neighbors, the laughter in the halls, and the deep sense of community that defines who we are. While Easter holds special meaning for many in our Christian-rooted community, its message of new beginnings and togetherness is one we all can embrace.
We are especially excited for our Easter Lunch this Sunday, April 20th at 12:30 pm, and we look forward to celebrating with residents and their loved ones. This festive meal is a time to gather in joy and connection. A reminder that today is the deadline to RSVP for guests—each resident is welcome to invite up to two family members at $33 per guest. Please contact Ashley Brayman at abrayman@solheimsenior.org if you have any questions.
Today is also the deadline for purchase of Easter Lillies to adorn our Chapel. The cost is $7.99 each, and they can be picked up after Easter Service on Sunday! Visit our Front Desk for more information.
As spring continues to unfold, we invite you to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine with outdoor dining now available on the patio just outside the alcove. Whether it’s lunch or supper, simply let your server know you’d like to dine outside and soak up the season. Few things lift the spirit like good food, fresh air, and good company.
We’re also loving the increased visits from family and friends across our campus. Their presence adds to the warmth and vitality of our community—especially in these springtime moments. Please remember that the front entrance loading zone must remain clear for safe drop-offs and pick-ups. Visitors can park in the Skilled Nursing lot, along the street, or at the nearby Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
For all the latest happenings, don’t forget to check your weekly and monthly activity calendars, or tune in to In-House Channel 1390 for real-time updates. From exercise and worship to arts, music, and outings, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
We also thank you for your patience as first-floor renovations continue, including painting and carpet installation. The transformation is coming along beautifully, and we appreciate your support as we enhance our shared living spaces.
