Weekly Update April 4, 2025

April 4, 2025

To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

With the beautiful spring weather upon us, we’re thrilled to see more visitors around campus! We love the energy and joy they bring—especially outdoors. As you and your guests enjoy our lovely spaces, please remember to avoid parking in the loading zone at our front entrance. This area must remain clear for safe drop-offs and pick-ups. Alternative parking is available in the Skilled Nursing lot, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church just west of our campus, or along the street. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for next week’s Resident Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 8 and Resident Town Hall on Thursday, April 10, both at 10:00 AM in the Chapel.

Be sure to check your monthly and weekly calendars for enriching opportunities to connect—from exercise and music to games, crafts, outings, worship services, and more. Want daily updates? Tune in to In-House Channel 1390 to stay informed about everything happening across campus.

Shredding & E-Waste Drive-Thru — Saturday, April 5 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
It’s time to declutter! Bring your documents and electronic waste to our public Shredding & E-Waste Event in the Skilled Nursing parking lot. This convenient drive-thru service includes on-site shredding while you watch. The parking lot will be closed Friday night for truck setup and will reopen after the event. Friends and family are welcome to join. Residents needing assistance can contact Ashley Brayman.

Nominations for Q1 Employees of the Quarter close Monday, April 7! Help us recognize the incredible team members who bring the “Solheim Feeling” to life. Pick up a nomination slip at the front desk or nursing stations, or submit online at solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition.
To show your appreciation year-round, consider a contribution to the Employee Appreciation Fund. Make a one-time or recurring gift at solheimsenior.org/donate, or connect with Tina Antypas to learn more.

First-floor painting and carpet installation are moving along beautifully. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to enhance our shared home.

We have no new cases of COVID-19 in our Community.

All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.

If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323-257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
