Weekly Update December 20, 2024
December 20, 2024
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
We had quite a festive day on Thursday, and I enjoyed seeing all our residents and their friends and family members as we hosted our annual Christmas Lunch. I truly enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing all the conversations happening, with joyful smiles beaming out across our wonderfully-decorated dining room. I’d like to thank our dining staff for preparing a fabulous meal (I’m sure many didn’t need to eat dinner that night) and all our hard-working staff members who helped to make that event a success. And of course, I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas… as always, I remain immensely grateful to be part of the Solheim Family.
I want to thank everyone once again for your support and contributions towards our Employee Appreciation Fund. Every year at this time, we offer a meaningful way to express your gratitude: by contributing to the Employee Appreciation Fund. Your generous donations will be distributed equally among our staff, serving as a tangible testament to your support and recognition of their invaluable service. To make a donation, or set up a recurring donation, please visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and choose the Employee Appreciation option.
Our Library Committee and staff have been working diligently to bring our library vision to life! As we enter the next phase of this exciting project, we’ll begin organizing books from across the campus. During this process, you may notice some bookshelves looking a bit bare, but rest assured, everything is being prepared for its new home in the library. Great news for our gamers—your space is set to be ready by January 1st! Excitement is in the air as we continue making progress.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed to this project and to all who are participating in bringing this enhancement to our community. We can’t wait to see it all come together!
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
