November is here, and the holiday season is quickly approaching! Our November Activity Calendar is now available, filled with opportunities to celebrate, connect and enjoy time together. From honoring our Veterans to Thanksgiving festivities and special programs, there's plenty to look forward to as we enter this season of gratitude and giving!
Invitations for our Thanksgiving Buffet on Thursday, November 26, have been distributed! We look forward to celebrating this special holiday with our residents and their families. The buffet will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with staggered seating beginning at 11:30 a.m. Guest meals are $35 each, with a limit of two guests per resident. Please RSVP to Ashley Brayman by November 19 at ext. 224, and be sure to indicate your preferred seating time. We look forward to sharing a wonderful Thanksgiving together!
Next week, we proudly honor the Veterans who have served our country! Please join us on Tuesday, November 10, at 3:00 p.m. for a special Veterans celebration featuring keynote speaker Retired General Mark MacCarley, along with live music. We invite everyone to come together as we recognize the courage, sacrifice and service of our Veterans, including the many who are part of our Solheim community.
Your voice matters! Join us for Resident Council on Tuesday, November 10, at 10:00 a.m. and our Resident Town Hall on Thursday, November 12, at 10:00 a.m., both in the Chapel. These meetings are important opportunities to stay informed, share ideas and help shape life at Solheim. We also have an open position on Resident Council and encourage anyone interested in representing fellow residents to consider serving!
For a little midweek fun, join Stacy on Wednesday, November 11, at 6:30 p.m. for another installment of our popular History of Cocktails series, this time exploring the classic Old Fashioned! It's a fun opportunity to learn a little history while enjoying time with friends.
As we enter this season of giving thanks, we also encourage everyone to remember the dedicated team members who make the Solheim Feeling possible every day. Contributions to our Employee Appreciation Fund for this year's holiday distribution are due by December 4. Masks for all visitors to our campus will be available upon request. To best ensure the safety of our residents and patients during the upcoming Respiratory Virus Season, all Healthcare Personnel (regardless of vaccination status) are required to wear a mask when working in patient care areas. The virus season starts on November 1, 2026 and ends on March 31, 2027.
