Weekly Update October 23, 2026

October 23, 2026

To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

As we head into the final week of October, Halloween fun is in full swing at Solheim! From festive activities and seasonal treats to a little spooky entertainment, there's plenty to enjoy as we celebrate the season together. And while we're looking forward to all the Halloween festivities, we also have an important opportunity for residents to help shape the future of our community!

We're officially launching our Resident Satisfaction Survey, and we want to hear from YOU! Your voice truly matters, and your feedback helps guide our decisions, improve services and ensure we're meeting your needs and expectations. From dining and activities to maintenance, healthcare and overall community life, every response makes a difference. Residents will have opportunities to complete the survey in person or digitally, with assistance available as needed. We carefully review your feedback and encourage every resident to participate. Please watch for additional information on how to complete your survey, and be sure to submit it by Friday, November 13!

Our Halloween festivities continue this week, beginning with a Scenic Drive on Monday, October 26, offering a chance to get out and enjoy the sights of the season. On Wednesday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m., join Amber and Sheila for Nursing Q&A in the Navigage Room. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, share concerns and connect with our nursing leadership. Later that evening, get into the Halloween spirit with a showing of the classic film Dracula at 6:30 p.m. A little suspense is just what the season calls for!

On Thursday, October 29 at 9:45 a.m., stop by our Coffee Café in the Front Lobby for a warm cup of coffee and some friendly conversation. Then, get those costumes ready for Friday, October 30, when we'll enjoy a special Halloween program featuring Monica and Friends at 2:30 p.m. in the Residential Dining Room, followed by our Halloween Costume Contest at 3:00 p.m.! Whether your costume is spooky, silly or wonderfully creative, we look forward to seeing everyone join in the fun!

As always, check your monthly activity calendar, Weekly Informers, Daily Sheets and in-house Channel 1390 for more opportunities to connect, participate and enjoy the abundant living we celebrate at Solheim. Wishing everyone a safe, festive and fun-filled Halloween week!

Masks for all visitors to our campus will be available upon request.  To best ensure the safety of our residents and patients during the upcoming Respiratory Virus Season, all Healthcare Personnel (regardless of vaccination status) are required to wear a mask when working in patient care areas.  The virus season starts on November 1, 2026 and ends on March 31, 2027.
