Weekly Update November 23, 2022
November 23, 2022
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
(Note: Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, this will serve as our Weekly Update.)
At this time of year, we are reminded that we have so much to be thankful for. I want to thank you all for being a part of our “Solheim Family” and for helping our residents continue to live their lives with love, peace, dignity and security, and I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving Holiday.
As I mentioned last week, we’re looking forward to adding an English Tea Party to our activity calendar, and are in need of the proper tea cups! Please contact Ashley Brayman if you have vintage English tea cups to donate!
We have extended our deadline to return your Resident Satisfaction Survey, if you have received one. These surveys are a very important tool for Solheim to get a sense of how we are doing in the eyes of our residents. Your responses provide us with information that is necessary to fulfill our mission statement: “To provide abundant living for older adults in a caring faith-based community filled with love, peace, dignity, and security.” Thank you so much for taking the time to submit your responses. We’d like to receive these by December 5th.
Once a year, you are able to show your appreciation for our staff with the opportunity to offer a monetary donation, which will then be distributed equally among all staff. You may always offer kind words through our Solheim Feeling Employee Recognition nomination cards found at the front desk or nursing stations, or visit us online at www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition. These kind words mean the world to our staff! To make a monetary gift, visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate or contact Tina Antypas.
Visitation Guidelines remain the same: In an effort to allow more space for important community updates, we will shorten our guideline details. Accordingly, the following guidelines apply to ALL visitors in ALL levels of care on our campus:
All visitors will be screened for a recent diagnosis of COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 infection, and close contact exposure.
All visitors will be offered a COVID-19 test, but testing is not required.
As of today, we have no new residents or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.
If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323 257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
