Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

Faith communities everywhere are observing Holy Week and Passover. For Christians, the Easter story reminds us that death is not the end; there is still joy and hope after suffering. For the descendants of the Hebrews, Passover is, as it has been for thousands of years, a timeless story of liberation and promise. And for secular individuals, this is the beautiful season of Spring, which calls us outside so that we can shake off the cold of Winter. One of our family members mentioned to me this past Wednesday that it is his favorite time of year: a time for new beginnings and fresh starts! This time of year, we all somehow feel rejuvenated and motivated to make our lives, and the world, a better place. Regardless of your beliefs, I wish the goodness of this Season to all!

Speaking of Spring and fresh starts, please take advantage of our upcoming “Community Shredding and E-Waste Drop-off Event” on Friday April 21st from 9am to noon. Remember to visit our Centennial website at www.solheimsenior.org/100 to learn more about upcoming opportunities. Contact Tina Antypas for more information.

I’d like to especially thank our Dining Team and all who helped make our Spring Lunch a success! It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the company and food! As a reminder, we encourage you to sit at new tables, and visit with new friends while dining! Our Leadership Team will once again be joining you in the near future for another lunch! Let’s be open to switching tables, meeting new people, and spreading the love of Solheim to all.

Visitation Guidelines remain unchanged. All Solheim visitors and staff members must conduct self-screening for symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection prior to entry. We ask all staff and visitors to confirm the following upon entry:

  • Currently have no known COVID-19 infection;

  • Not experiencing symptoms associated with possible COVID-19 infection; and

  • Have not had close contact, within the last 14 days, with another person known to have a COVID-19 infection

As of today, we have no new residents or staff who have tested positive for Covid-19.

If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323 257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
