Weekly Update January 13, 2023
January 13, 2023
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
As a recap from our Resident Town Hall Meeting yesterday, I want to thank everyone who submitted a Resident Satisfaction Survey. These results are being tallied, and we will share the results with you in the near future. This is valuable information that will certainly help us as we strive to continually improve upon our services. Thank you all!
As we prepare to hold annual elections at our Resident Town Hall Meeting in February, please note that we are accepting nominations for membership on our Resident Council. Solheim’s Resident Council gives residents greater participation in matters of concern and interest to them and helps maintain open communication between residents and staff for the benefit of all residents. (And it also promotes friendships and is a great way to meet new people within our wonderful community!) I strongly encourage you to consider nominating yourself or someone else for membership on the Resident Council. You may let Ashley Brayman know if you are interested in serving or learning more.
I recently had a chance to speak with a friend of Solheim whose mother lived with us several years ago. As we spoke, I realized that we have so many friends of Solheim with stories to share – and that I really want to hear more of those stories! So to help make that wish a reality, we’ve created a Centennial Hotline! Please feel free to call Solheim and ask for our Centennial Hotline [323-257-7518 (x246)] so you can leave a message for us! And we won’t just selfishly horde them for ourselves – your messages will also be used on our website, social media, or other promotional materials to spread the world about “The Solheim Feeling” as we prepare to enter our second century of serving seniors in Los Angeles. I’m looking forward to hearing your kind words, stories, your relationship, and how you came to know Solheim! Give us a call and leave us a message!
As a reminder, the Book Club will meet on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Solheim Senior Community in the Navigage Room. All are welcome. It’s a great opportunity to invite your friends or family to join, as well! If you’re interested, please contact Ashley Brayman at ABrayman@solheimsenior.org.
