Weekly Update December 5, 2025

December 5, 2025

To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From:
Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

The deadline for contributions to our Employee Appreciation Fund is this Sunday, December 7. This is a meaningful opportunity to express gratitude to the incredible team members who support our residents each day with patience, professionalism, and heart. If you’d like to give, you can visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and select “Employee Appreciation,” or you may drop off a check or cash at the front desk.

As Solheim maintains a no-tipping policy, this fund is a wonderful way to show appreciation for our staff’s kindness, skill, and dedication in a way that aligns with our values. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference—not just financially, but emotionally, as a tangible reminder that their work is seen and valued. During this holiday season, let’s come together in the spirit of gratitude and generosity to celebrate and uplift the people who make Solheim feel like home. Please consider contributing by December 7, and thank you for being part of the Solheim family.

Just last evening, Solheim had the joy of celebrating many of these dedicated employees at our Employee Holiday Party. We honored 12 milestone anniversaries—ranging from five to forty years of service—representing a remarkable 205 collective years with Solheim. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident; it reflects the culture we work hard to protect and strengthen. We live our mission of caring, love, and compassion not only for our residents, but for one another, too. I’m genuinely proud to be part of an organization that recognizes commitment, cherishes its people, and leads with heart.

And the season is arriving all around us. As you walk through campus, you’ll notice holiday decorations appearing more and more each day as Solheim begins to sparkle for the weeks ahead. Please join us next Thursday, December 11, at 4:00 PM for our Festival of Lights Celebration. We’ll share live music, hot cocoa, and even SNOW in our Breezeway, then you’re invited to stroll through campus and enjoy the glowing trees and festive décor. (And for those who love a good guess—how many trees do you think we have this year? Last year’s number was astonishing!)

This month is full of joyful activities, live music, and celebrations, so be sure to check your calendar regularly and tune in to Solheim’s In-House Channel 1390 for the latest updates. You’ll also notice our front lobby TV is now installed with up-to-date information—easy to spot as you exit the elevator or walk down the corridor from the front lobby. We don’t want you to miss a single special moment we’ve planned for you this holiday season, and we can’t wait to celebrate it together.

All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
