To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From:
Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

Following the successful completion of the Main Dining Room Refresh, we are excited to share that Solheim will begin the next phase of enhancing our shared spaces with a complete renovation of the Merton and Manor lobby.

This project is part of our continued commitment to providing a welcoming, beautiful environment that reflects Solheim’s mission of abundant living in a caring, faith-based community. Work will begin on Monday, August 11, and is expected to take approximately 10 weeks, divided into two phases to minimize disruption and maintain safe access to the main entrance.

Phase 1: Lobby Expansion into Adjacent Room:  In this phase, the current Merton and Manor lobby will be expanded into the adjacent vacant room, effectively doubling the size of this important gathering space. Key features of the new space will include a welcoming lounge area with a cozy fireplace and a bistro-style seating area for coffee, conversation, and casual fellowship

During the week of August 11, two scheduled demolition days will bring increased noise and construction activity. To help reduce the impact, we will offer complimentary earplugs, available at the front desk.  A variety of outdoor activities and off-site outings will be provided for residents wishing to enjoy quieter settings.  Please be sure to tune into Solheim’s In-House Channel 1390 for updated information.

Phase 2: Reception Area Refresh:  Once Phase 1 is complete, work will begin on updating the reception area, including flooring, lighting, and furniture enhancements to improve functionality and first impressions. During this time a temporary front desk will be located in the newly expanded lobby.  The main entrance and exit will remain accessible and clearly marked for safety and ease of use.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment throughout this project. While we do not anticipate significant disruptions to entrance access, unexpected changes may arise due to the nature of construction. We will communicate updates promptly through signage and staff reminders.  We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to enhance Solheim’s Campus!

All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
