Weekly Update July 23, 2021
July 23, 2021
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
Our renovations continue to move forward in our outdoor spaces, and I thank you all for your continuing patience and partnership as we work hard to refresh all of the beautiful outdoor spaces around campus. I’m very pleased to report that we are right on schedule as we enter the final phases of these exciting projects!
As I mentioned last week, we have now launched our newest “Refer a Friend” program! Any resident who refers a friend to Solheim will receive an incentive when that referral moves into our wonderful community and becomes part of the “Solheim Family.” And in fact, it’s even better than that: Both the current resident and the referred resident will also receive a $1,000 credit on their fourth month’s rent. Contact Mamie Cornett or Lucy Laloyan in our Sales and Marketing Department for more information!
Our 3:30 pm Friday afternoon “Happy Hour” is a big hit – featuring music, dancing, and some great opportunities to get to know your neighbors! If you haven’t had a chance to join us, please do… don’t miss out on the fun!
As a reminder, our front desk “Summer hours” are 8:30am – 5pm. Should you be visiting outside of these hours, we ask that you please enter and check in through the Health Center.
For visitations throughout campus—from our Health Center, to our Residential and Assisted Living Campus, to our Halvorson Memory Care Neighborhood—we also still ask for your continued partnership and diligence in continuing to follow all of these important rules, until further notice:
Our recommended visitation hours are 10am – 4pm daily, however if you are visiting outside regular business hours, please know you will be entering our campus through our Health Center doors;
All visitors must still continue to check in when they arrive on campus (including temperature and screening questions) and sign our COVID-19 waiver;
We ask that all visitors wear masks and practice social distancing;
All residents, regardless of vaccination status, may have “in-room” visits;
Any personal “in-room” visits in our Health Center should be scheduled in common areas, or when the roommate is out of the room; and
We still continue to encourage outdoor visits or visits in our common areas as much as possible.
As of today’s writing, we have one non-direct care staff who has tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin response-driven testing of all staff and residents today.
