COVID-19 Update January 19, 2021
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Meg Pierce, Sr. Director of Healthcare Services
We have two (2) residents and two (2) direct care staff members in our Residential and Assisted Living Campus, and one (1) direct care staff member in our Skilled Nursing Campus who have tested positive for COVID-19.
As always, resident (and staff) health and safety remains our top priority, and so we are continuing to monitor and follow all applicable CDC and the Department of Health guidelines. As we mentioned in our previous communication, and in an effort to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we continue with the following measures:
All communal dining, group activities, and indoor visitation are canceled until all residents and staff test negative for two (2) sequential weeks of testing (i.e., 14 days).
Residents are being served all meals on trays with disposables.
Outdoor scheduled visits are limited to 30 minutes in length, and attendance shall be capped at a maximum of 3 individuals per visit. In addition, the latest that any such visits may be scheduled is between 3:30pm to 4:00pm (after which time Solheim will close to visitors).
Only residents who are confirmed to be COVID-19 negative are able to schedule in-person outdoor visits or window visits. Residents with indeterminate COVID-19 status, or who are confirmed to be COVID-19 positive, are limited to FaceTime calls.
