Weekly Update November 27, 2024

November 27, 2024
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

(Note: Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, this will serve as our Weekly Update.)

On behalf of Solheim’s entire Leadership Team and staff, I want to wish our entire Solheim Family a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. May your holiday be filled with love and laughter while you share a wonderful meal with family and friends. As I have mentioned before, we are entering the season where we collectively pause to take stock and give thanks for all of the blessings that life has bestowed upon us – and I know that I am personally grateful to be a part of the wonderful community that has made Solheim what it is for over a century. Thank you all for all that you do, each and every day, to help create “The Solheim Feeling.”

As we gather in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the many blessings in our Solheim family—chief among them is our extraordinary staff. Their dedication and compassionate care are the heart of our 5-Star Campus, making Solheim a place of kindness and joy.

This holiday season, I invite you to express your gratitude by contributing to our Employee Appreciation Fund. Your generosity by December 8th will help us show our heartfelt thanks to the team members who tirelessly support our residents every day.  To contribute, please visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and select "Employee Appreciation," or drop off a check or cash at the front desk.

Since Solheim has a no-tipping policy, donations to this fund—whether now or throughout the year—are a wonderful way to show your appreciation for their kindness, skill, and dedication. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact and helps us give thanks for the people who make Solheim truly special.  Let’s come together to celebrate and uplift our remarkable staff this holiday season. Once again, visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate to contribute by December 8th.  Thank you for being part of the Solheim family and for your continued support!

All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.

You can always visit our website for more information at http://www.solheimsenior.org, but if you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323-257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
