Weekly Update January 12, 2024
January 12, 2023
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
After much hard work and many phone calls, our long awaited In-House Solheim TV Channel is here! As we mentioned at yesterday’s Resident Town Hall meeting, you can now simply switch your TV to channel 1390 to get all the information for the day! Including upcoming events, what is going on at the community that day, special announcements, and anything and everything to get excited about! We will continue to provide the Weekly Informer, our Daily sheets, and other regular announcements just as we’ve always done – but this is the next step that Solheim is taking in our ongoing effort to improve communication throughout the community. Be sure to get in the habit of checking channel 1390 each morning and throughout the day for any important updates! For any questions regarding our In-House Solheim TV Channel, please contact Ashley Brayman.
As a reminder, our front office hours are 8:30am to 5pm. If you are expecting visitors outside of these hours, please consider meeting them at the door. As posted, all visitors and deliveries outside of these working hours are directed to enter through our Skilled Nursing entrance. And when you go out, please remember to take your key with you, so you can always use it to let yourself back in through the front door. We appreciate your assistance in letting your friends and families know! If you have any questions, please contact Tina Antypas.
As we prepare to hold annual elections at our Resident Town Hall Meeting in February, now is the time to nominate someone to join our Resident Council. Solheim’s Resident Council gives residents the opportunity to participate in matters of concern and interest to them and helps maintain open communication between residents and staff for the benefit of all residents. (It’s also a great way to meet new people within our community!) I strongly encourage you to consider nominating yourself or someone else for membership on the Resident Council. Please contact Ashley Brayman for more information.
Since we’re now in the middle of flu season, I’d also like to take the opportunity to remind you of our infection prevention protocols, which consist of wearing masks, frequent handwashing, and maintaining distance when in groups of people you do not know. Although masks are only required in our Health Center/Skilled Nursing Campus at this time, keeping these infection prevention techniques in mind is key. We count on everyone doing their part in helping us remain healthy!
As a reminder; all staff AND visitors, regardless of COVID-19 or influenza vaccination status, are required to wear a mask in our Health Center / Skilled Nursing campus. Masks will be provided at the Front Desk. All Solheim visitors and staff members must continue to conduct self-screening for symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection prior to entry.
