To:
Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From:
Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

On this blessed Veterans Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the men and women who have served our nation with unwavering faith and valor. Your selfless dedication in protecting our God-given freedoms is a testament to the Christian virtues of service and sacrifice. Today, at Solheim, we honored our 16 valiant Veterans, with Retired Major General Mark MacCarley gracing us as our keynote speaker. In a special tribute, our band, composed entirely of Veterans, filled our hearts with patriotic melodies. We thank you for your noble service. May God bless you this Veterans Day!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Solheim welcomes all residents to invite up to 2 family members to a special Thanksgiving Buffet at 12:00 pm on Thursday November 23rd  for $30 per person. Invitations have been sent out, and the deadline to RSVP is next Friday, November 17th.  For more information you may reach out to Ashley Brayman at abrayman@solheimsenior.org or by phone at 323-257-7518 x 224.

As we approach this season of gratitude and reflection, we are reminded of the abundant blessings in our lives. In the spirit of thanksgiving, we invite you to express your heartfelt appreciation for our dedicated staff. In the coming weeks, you will have the opportunity to extend your generosity through monetary donations, which will be graciously distributed equally among all staff members. While words of encouragement and gratitude can be shared through our Solheim Feeling Employee Recognition nomination cards available at the front desk and nursing stations, or online at www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition, a monetary gift is a tangible expression of your support and appreciation. These gifts, big or small, are not just contributions; they are direct affirmations of the hard work and commitment of our staff. To make a monetary gift, please visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and select the Employee Appreciation option. Let us come together in this season of giving to uplift and honor those who serve our community with such dedication.

On December 9th from 1pm-5pm we will hold our Spirit of Giving Christmas Boutique with an opportunity to visit vendor tables to purchase some wonderful Christmas gifts!  Santa will visit us between 1:30pm and 3:30pm, so be sure to bring your family for photos, and enjoy a festive afternoon with Christmas Carols, Sweets and Treats, and an opportunity to shop, while benefiting Solheim!  If you know of a vendor who would like to participate, please contact Tina Antypas at tantypas@solheimsenio.org or 323 257-7518 x225.   Visit our event website for the vendor information at www.solheimsenior.org/christmasboutique .

In case you missed it last week, you may view our Centennial video HERE, or visit www.solheimsenior.org/centennial-video.

Visitation Guidelines remain unchanged from last week.  All Solheim visitors and staff members must continue to conduct self-screening for symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection prior to entry.
