Weekly Update December 11, 2020
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
Our residents have greatly enjoyed our small building project—raising walls, meticulously piping icing, and decorating Gingerbread Houses with gumdrops and candies! As you can see here, many “works in progress” are moving along nicely! Thank you all so much for your donations towards making this happen!
Thank you also to those of you who have returned a Resident Satisfaction Survey! As a reminder, our deadline for timely receipt is Wednesday, December 16th. These surveys are an important tool to help us get a sense of how we are doing in the eyes of our residents, and also to help us identify areas in which we can strive to improve next year. We look forward to sharing the results with you in the next month or two!
Solheim is committed to the health and safety of our residents and staff. Please remember that everyone on campus will be required to maintain appropriate social distance measures and wear an appropriate facial mask at all times—and (as always) please don’t come at all if you are experiencing any symptoms of any illness!
Tis the season for giving gifts—and our Activities staff plans to give Solheim families “the gift of time with their loved ones” by adding even more Facetime calls on Christmas day. These 10 -15 minute family calls will be scheduled throughout the day, ending at 4:00 pm. Please reach out to Kathy Rust at kathyr@solheimsenior.org by December 21st to reserve a call time.
We continue to offer virtual tours and accept new applications for residency in all areas of our campus. If you would like more information, please contact our Director of Sales, Lucy Laloyan, at 323 257 7518 X212 or LucyL@solheimsenior.org.
As of our last communication, we have no new residents or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19. As always, we continue to offer regular COVID-19 testing to all residents and staff in compliance with all applicable regulations.
You can always visit our website for more information at www.solheimsenior.org, but if you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323 257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org .
Again, let me stress that protecting our residents is always our first priority—and now, during the holidays, we certainly need everyone’s help and renewed commitment to keep our community healthy!
