To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community
Our Merton and Manor Main Dining Room refresh is now complete, and we are so grateful to all who joined us for Tuesday’s ribbon cutting and Grand Re-Opening celebration! The new carpet and cheerful paint palette have brightened the space beautifully, giving our Residential Dining Room a warm and welcoming lift. Thank you again for your patience as we continue progressing with our renovations.
As July wraps up, we’re excited to share that Solheim will once again participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, in partnership with our neighbors at the 7th Day Adventist Church. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Keep an eye out for additional details in the coming days!
Please also note that our bus tour has been rescheduled for this coming Monday. If you'd like to join, make sure to sign up soon. Don’t forget to check out the July Calendar for a robust lineup of programs designed to enrich mind, body, and spirit—from educational talks and fitness sessions to social games and faith-based gatherings. You can always find the latest schedule updates on Solheim’s In-House Channel 1390.
Back by special request, Oktoberfest returns Saturday, September 27 from 5:00–9:00pm! Join us for the “Würst” party of the year—the Eagle Rock Oktoberfest is a fundraiser benefiting Solheim Senior Community! Enjoy live music from Bavarian Stew and more, with food and beverages available for separate purchase. Sponsorship opportunities are now available for this lively event filled with German bier, festive music, and community spirit. To become a sponsor, see the attached flyer or contact Tina Antypas at tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
Lastly, as summer temperatures climb, please remember to stay cool and hydrated. Take advantage of the hydration stations located across campus, and don’t hesitate to notify nursing staff or the front desk if you need assistance with your air conditioning. Your health and comfort are always our top priority
All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323-257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
