Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders

Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

It was a beautiful evening this past Tuesday for National Night Out!  We loved partnering with our neighbors and had a wonderful turnout!  Thank you to Ashley Brayman for spearheading this event on behalf of Solheim, and to all those who participated!

Our dining reservation system is well underway, and with all the planning and resident input, I believe this transition will go quite smoothly.  We’ve already received several reservations as we kick off this new service next week!  Thank you for your understanding, input, and support as we make this positive change! We encourage you to provide any feedback you have based on your initial experiences with the new service.

Solheim is entering our budgeting season, and the leadership team and board are actively reviewing every opportunity to keep expenses under control, considering rising inflation that I’m sure has affected everyone in some way or another!  Please know that we are doing everything we can in this process to keep any resident fee increases within our historical range.

Our weather has still been warm, and once again, I’d like to remind you of the importance of staying hydrated and checking your air conditioning in your apartments.  If you have any issues at all, please contact your nursing staff, or the front desk, and we’ll address it right away!

Remember to mark you calendars for our Centennial year celebrations and check out the Centennial website at www.solheimsenior.org/100.  Come celebrate with us!

  • Oktoberfest September 23rd from 5pm-9pm

  • Centennial Masquerade Ball celebration, which will be held at the beautiful La Canada Flintridge Country Club on Saturday October 28th from 6pm -10pm

  • Across the Decades Fashion Show on November 16th in the afternoon

  • Spirit of Giving Christmas Boutique on December 9th from 1pm-5pm!

Visitation Guidelines remain unchanged from last week.  All Solheim visitors and staff members must continue to conduct self-screening for symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection prior to entry.  Masks are required for all team members and visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing).

If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323 257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
