ACTIVITIES FOR THE PUBLIC IN 2023
To celebrate Solheim’s centennial year, it was decided that there should be special monthly activities or events. Some, like the Senior Prom, were designed primarily for Solheim residents to enjoy. Others, such as the Spring Lunch, concentrated on residents and their family members. Events inviting public participation have occurred throughout the year, and will continue through the end of the year.
Here are some of the highlights: holding a shredding and e-waste drive-through event; sponsoring Huntington Hospital’s Blood Mobile in the Solheim parking lot; joining with Eagle Rock Seventh Day Adventist Church to host National Night Out; sponsoring the Big Band night at Concerts in the Park; and providing a series of educational presentations titled “Enhancing Peace of Mind.” Still to come is the 11th Annual (except for a break due to COVID) Eagle Rock Oktoberfest on September 23rd, the Centennial Masquerade Ball on October 28th, the Across the Decades Fashion Show on November 16th and the Spirit of Giving Christmas Boutique on December 9th.
