Solheim Provides Skilled Nursing Residency

Rehabilitation Care | Short Term Care | Long-Term Custodial Care

With licensed staff on duty 24 hours a day, Solheim’s Skilled Nursing program includes meals, social services, personal support, hygiene, medication delivery, activities, and a collaborative health plan to help patients meet their individualized health goals.

Solheim accepts Medicare, private insurance, private payments, and Medi-Cal (on a “space available” basis). A “preferred provider” for Glendale Adventist Hospital, Solheim’s many years of experience make us a perfect fit for elderly individuals who require the highest levels of care—whether short term or long term.

Skilled Nursing Distinctions

Solheim Residents who have a Life Plan agreement receive priority admission to Solheim’s Skilled Nursing program, if and when it is needed. (Solheim Residents who have Monthly Agreements for any level of care are also extended access to the Skilled Nursing program, subject to availability.) Conversely, many individuals who come to Solheim specifically for our Skilled Nursing program decide to stay on long after they have recovered—choosing to transfer to one of our fantastic Resident Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care programs.

Our Highest Level of Care

Skilled Nursing is the highest level of care available at Solheim. Through this program, we provide rehabilitative care, short-term care, and long term custodial care—which includes medication management, help with getting in and out of bed, and assistance with feeding, bathing, and dressing. Meals are treated as an important opportunity for conversation and camaraderie, and are offered in the dining room three times daily. (In-room dining is also always available.) Staff provides personal help to ensure that residents are up and dressed and receiving medications and appropriate nursing attention in a timely fashion. We also work hard to make sure our residents are truly engaged in life—offering a wide array of daily activities.
